Help! Not just anybody…
Can you ask the powers that be to provide a better listing of reporters and their beats on your website? Maybe that will help eliminate some of the blind spam pitches that takes place by PR folks lazily using outdated databases.
I owe this tip to a tweet from @VaENew, a Government Executive reporter who passed along a PR pet peeve that was new to me: “NEVER send a press release without contact info on it! You would be shocked how many do.”
